Subscribe to a Web (ICS) Calendar in Google Calendar Web

  1. Open Outlook Calendar on the web by visiting https://outlook.live.com/calendar

  2. Click the Add Calendar button, located on the left sidebar, on top of the “My calendars” section.

Calendar updates from the subscribed calendar might take up to 24 hours to reflect in Outlook. For real-time updates, use a calendar sync tool that integrates with your preferred calendar providers and can keep them in sync in real-time.

The Outlook app on iPhone doesn’t support subscribing to ics calendars. To subscribe to an ics calendar, please do it from Outlook web, following the steps above. Right after you subscribe to the calendar on the Outlook web app, the calendar should also appear on the Outlook app on your iPhone.

There might be several reasons why Outlook no longer loads your subscribed calendar events, but here are some actions to make Outlook load your calendar events again:

  • The ICS Calendar Link is revoked by the owner, you need to make sure it’s valid and hasn’t changed.
  • Make sure the calendar sharing settings allow external calendars to connect to that calendar.
  • Clear the browser cache and cookies.
  • If none of the actions above work, please unsubscribe to the calendar and create the subscription again.

What do I do if Outlook fails to subscribe to my ICS Calendar link?

If the initial subscription using your ICS Calendar link fails in Outlook, here is how to resolve it:

  • Make sure the ICS URL is correct and the input has no spaces or extra characters. This should be validated in the input where you insert the ICS URL.
  • If you’re using an ICS of a Google Calendar, make sure the Google Calendar is public; otherwise, the subscription will fail.
  • Make sure the calendar you’re trying to subscribe to allows subscriptions.

How do I unsubscribe or remove the calendar I just subscribed to?

Hover the calendar name under Other calendars → three dots → Remove.
